The Ponderosa Basin Mutual Water Company provides water to the residents of the Ponderosa Basin Subdivision, located approximately 16 miles east of the town of Mariposa and 12 miles south of Yosemite National Park. The 402 lot subdivision was created in the 1960s. Today, 316 residential and 2 commercial lots are active water connections serving the population of approximately 790 residents. All residents of the subdivision use septic tanks and leach fields. We are for domestic use only. Lot sizes range from approximately 1 acre to a maximum of 30 acre lots. The company does not currently meter their customers.
The company currently draws water from its 6 active wells located within the Ponderosa Basin Subdivision. The company has 8 storage tanks, which provide 540,000 gallons of storage capacity. |
Monthly Board of Directors meeting @6pm in the office at 5623 Parker Drive Monthly meeting are now every 2nd Wednesday of each month.
