Wednesday: NO WATERING
Thursday: Watering 5am-8am & 6pm-9pm
Friday: NO WATERING
Saturday: Watering 5am-8am (no pm watering)
Sunday: Watering 6pm-9pm (no am watering)

Enforcement and Fees for Violating Water Schedule

1st offence - Warning
2nd offence-$100.00
3rd offence-$150.00
4th offence-$300.00
5th offence-Board will address
All enforcement fees are due in full within 30 days of violation
Regular water rates
$99 per month - starting on March 1st,2025
$81 per month additional charge for short-term rentals i.e. Airbnb, Vrbo
$25 late fee if paid after the end of month
$100. reconnect fee if water is turned off
New owner setup fee: $100. includes; New owner info change, set up billing, water pressure test & turn on water
Payments are accepted by check or by Visa/Mastercard, $2. fee for all credit cards Call us at 209-742-6572 for more details.
If payment in full is not received, a 5day notice will be sent for water shut off. If water is turned off a $100 turn on fee will be added.

The Ponderosa Basin Mutual Water Company provides water to the residents of the Ponderosa Basin Subdivision, located approximately 16 miles east of the town of Mariposa and 12 miles south of Yosemite National Park. The 402 lot subdivision was created in the 1960s. Today, 316 residential and 2 commercial lots are active water connections serving the population of approximately 790 residents. All residents of the subdivision use septic tanks and leach fields. We are for domestic use only. Lot sizes range from approximately 1 acre to a maximum of 30 acre lots. The company does not currently meter their customers.
The company currently draws water from its 6 active wells located within the Ponderosa Basin Subdivision. The company has 8 storage tanks, which provide 540,000 gallons of storage capacity. |
